Abnormal Loads
Titus Newsome has specialised in abnormal loads for over 50 years, and have the expertise and experience to ensure that your loads are moved safely and securely throughout mainland Europe and the UK & Ireland.
We have experience in moving machinery from 1 tonne to 150 tonnes. We can help you through the whole process, for shipping your abnormal loads.
We regularly arrange the transloading of cargoes at ports when required and arrange onward delivery to site. We work closely with partner companies throughout Europe so we will always have the right equipment at your disposal at very short notice!
Permits and Pilots
Titus Newsome can organise your permits in the UK and Ireland. From standard road permits through to route surveys, VR1’s and Special Orders, we can take care of all the legislation in the UK and Ireland.
We also operate our own fleet of pilot cars. All pilot cars fully comply with all current legislation and carry full safety and communication equipment. When required, our pilot drivers can also act as steersmen for your drivers.

150t+ Special Order – minimum 8 weeks
2.90-5.00m – 2 clear working days
5.01 – 6.10m VR1 – 2-6 weeks
6.10m+ – Special Order – minimum 8 weeks

25.90-30.00m rigid length – 2 clear working days
30.00m+ rigid length – Special Order – minimum 8 weeks

Above 4.98m high – subject to suitable routes being available
